Our Story
Epic was originally formed in 2005 as Epic Realty Partners with one client, one asset and one employee. At the time, the company focused on property management services at an institutional level of standard.
Over the course of several years and with the formation of strategic partnerships, the company grew across Canada with offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal and Ottawa.
In 2017, Epic merged with Alasco and StoneCap Realty Advisors to become Epic Investment Services – a national investment, asset and property manager.
Epic Investment Services was created to deliver on what our clients were seeking: practical innovative ways to build the value of every square foot, every property, across whole portfolios.
Today, Epic is a North American real estate platform offering cross-border direct investing, fund investing and co-investing opportunities as well as providing provides property management services, leasing, asset and portfolio management for clients with a team of over 170 real estate professionals.
Our heritage and combined history as investment managers, asset managers and property managers provides our clients with an advantage to commercial real estate investing.

Alasco acquires and awarded asset management for Bow Valley Square (1.4M sq.ft. office/retail) in Calgary

StoneCap Realty Partners is founded
StoneCap acquires 1300 unit multifamily portfolio in Edmonton

Epic Realty Partners is founded
Epic appointed as property manager for Atria Complex in Toronto, ON

Alasco acquires and appointed asset manager and development oversight for StoneGate Business Park (1300 acres, 12M sq ft office/retail/industrial development) in Calgary.
StoneCap acquires 200 unit apartment building in Montreal

Alasco acquires and awarded asset management and development oversight for Manning Town Centre (105 acres, 1.0M sq ft retail development) in Edmonton.

Epic acquires and manages 50 Minthorn Blvd in Toronto, ON

StoneCap acquires 600 unit apartment building in Toronto
2007
Epic establishes partnerships in Ottawa and Montreal markets
Alasco acquired and awarded asset management and development oversight for Eighth Avenue Place (1.8M sq ft office building) in Calgary.

StoneCap is appointed asset manager of three super-regional retail centres in the GTA totalling 4.5M sq.ft.

Alasco acquired former Sears building and awarded development oversight for Core retail ($200M project) in Calgary.
MDC becomes 50% owner of Epic Realty Partners

US Multifamily Fund LP I
The Fund will focus on acquiring multifamily assets in select US markets that have value enhancement opportunities. Target locations will have proven population growth, with strong employment and reliable infrastructure.
For each asset acquired, Epic will activate its value creation model that includes a renovation program, improved operational efficiency, better tenant-centric services and a disciplined exit strategy.
