Epic Investment Services’ U.S. subsidiary, MDC, Enters into an Agreement to Develop Self-Storage Facilities
Epic Investment Services (Epic) is pleased to announce that its U.S. subsidiary, MDC Realty Advisors (MDC), has entered into an agreement with Strategic Self-Storage Partners (SSP) to develop self-storage facilities across the Western U.S. with the initial target markets to be Las Vegas, Denver, Phoenix and Austin. MDC, together with SSP and a wealth management partner, have acquired the first two land parcels in Colorado to develop a 141,000-square-foot self-storage facility comprising of approximately 1400 units.
“The self-storage sector is a resilient, high-demand product that will generate strong, stable returns,” said Allan Okabe, Senior Vice President, Investments at Epic. “We are pleased that we were able to enter into the self-storage market with two high-quality assets, and with an experienced developer to execute on our client’s investment goals. This is the first asset of this type within our portfolio, but this transaction, along with the planned development, greatly accelerates our growth strategy within the U.S. and across dynamic cities.”
